16Mo3 plates and sheets are low-alloy steel with good high-temperature strength and resistance to corrosion. They have the following chemical composition: 0.12-0.2% Carbon (C), 0.25-0.35% Silicon (Si), 0.3-0.9% Manganese (Mn), 0.2-0.3% Molybdenum (Mo), and traces of Phosphorus (P) and Sulfur (S). Mechanically, they have tensile strength of 450-600 MPa, yield strength of ≥240 MPa, and elongation of ≥22%. These characteristics make 16Mo3 plates superior in weldability, strength, and high-temperature performance and are thus specifically suited for high-pressure vessels and power plants to be used under extreme conditions.
