Carbon steel SA178 Tubing is mainly made of carbon, manganese and small amounts of silicone, phosphorus and sulfur. Specific composition includes 0.30–0.60% carbon, 0.60–1.35% manganese and 0.10% silicon with minimal scars of other elements. Its mechanical properties include a stretching power of 40,000-60,000 PSI and a dividend power of 25,000-40,000 PSI. Pipes also provide a good increase, usually about 30%, and high heat resistance, making it suitable for high-pressure and high temperatures such as boilers and heat exchange. The strength and durability seek excellent performance in the atmosphere.
