Yousef Steel produces Alloy Steel WP1 pipe fittings using low-alloy steel as per ASTM A234 standards for wrought alloy steel fittings for use in pressure systems. The usual chemical composition consists of carbon (max 0.10%), manganese (0.30–0.60%), phosphorus (max 0.030%), sulfur (max 0.030%), silicon (0.10–0.50%), and chromium (0.50–0.90%) with molybdenum (0.44–0.65%) to provide added strength. These fittings provide moderate tensile strength (415–585 MPa) and yield strength (min 205 MPa) and also very good weldability, impact resistance, as well as good performance at high temperatures and in moderately corrosive conditions.
