What is Alloy Steel T5 Tubing?

Alloy Steel T5 tubing is a ferritic alloy steel tube that consists mainly of carbon (max 0.15%), manganese (0.30–0.60%), phosphorus (max 0.025%), sulfur (max 0.025%), chromium (4.00–6.00%), and molybdenum (0.45–0.65%). The chromium and molybdenum content increase its strength, resistance to oxidation, and performance when exposed to high temperatures. T5 tubing generally has a minimum tensile strength of 415 MPa and a minimum yield strength of 205 MPa. It is renowned for superior creep performance, thermal conductivity, and weldability, which makes it perfect for hostile service conditions in high-heat areas.
