What is Alloy Steel T23 Tubing?

Alloy Steel T23 tubing is a ferritic low-alloy steel with enhanced strength and oxidation resistance, made up of carbon (max 0.07%), manganese (0.10–0.60%), phosphorus (max 0.020%), sulfur (max 0.010%), chromium (1.90–2.60%), molybdenum (0.05–0.30%), vanadium (0.20–0.30%), niobium (0.02–0.08%), and tungsten (1.45–2.00%). The composition provides high creep strength, good weldability, and good steam oxidation resistance. T23 tubing has a minimum tensile strength of 510 MPa and a yield strength of 400 MPa and is thus well-suited to applications in advanced, high-efficiency thermal power plants.
