Alloy Steel T1 tubing is a seamless ferritic alloy steel tube produced under ASTM A209 standards, largely utilized in high-temperature applications. Its chemistry generally consists of carbon (0.10–0.20%), manganese (0.30–0.80%), phosphorus (max 0.025%), sulfur (max 0.025%), and molybdenum (0.44–0.65%), which offer strength and heat resistance. The tubing provides favorable tensile strength (at least 415 MPa), yield strength (at least 220 MPa), and superior creep resistance. T1 tubing also possesses favorable weldability and oxidation resistance, which makes it suitable for boiler tubes and heat exchangers that are subjected to harsh thermal conditions.
