Typical chemical composition is carbon (max 0.28%), manganese (max 1.20–1.40%), phosphorus (max 0.030%), and sulfur (max 0.030%). These pipes are found in welded or seamless form and in PSL1 or PSL2 grades based on service conditions. L245 has better mechanical properties than L210 and has excellent weldability, impact properties, and average corrosion resistance, and therefore it is ideal for medium pressure pipeline service.
